Week 2 Wrap Up: Washington vs. Dallas

Washington 27 — Dallas 10 (and it wasn’t even that close)

Key Play: Roy Williams intercepted a horrible, fluttering Mark Brunell pass at the goalline, with Washington threatening to tie it up at 17 in the 3rd quarter. On the ensuing possession, Dallas went 99 for the backbreaker, making it 24-10.

Stud: Drew Bledsoe. 2 TDs and 0 picks. 230+ yards. Most importantly, got a big win against a division rival, and kept from falling to 0-2. The old guy lives to fight another day, and will quiet the Dallas fans and media that have been calling for Tony Romo — at least for a week.

Dud: Mark Brunell. This old guy, however, looks like he just can’t keep up with the game anymore. He’s got no arm left, his decision making has slowed to a crawl, and doesn’t even have the ability to run around and create plays anymore. Jason Campbell, anyone?

Saw that coming: ‘Skins offense struggling without Clinton Portis.

But not that: Dallas doing such a great job of making Santana Moss and Chris Cooley non-factors. Great game-planning and execution on the defensive side for Dallas.
